Ah! The Zodiac! The Celestial World! We all have some mental picture of the zodiac in our minds, however vague it may or may not be.

When we think of the zodiac, we should think of it as a “belt.” A belt that is comprised of 12 Signs. Those signs are; Aires, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

These signs are also representative of Constellations. The heavenly bodies, such as The Sun, Planets, The Moon, and the Asteroids appear to move across the face of these constellations.

Ancient Wisdom

Several thousand years ago, learned men, schooled in "ancient wisdom," studied these twelve constellations, and their signs. The results of their studies became the key for unlocking the secrets of the zodiac. As this wisdom developed, we referred to it as Astrology! The study of Astrology can provide us a wonderful "Directional Compass," or "Spiritual Blueprint." We know it as a Personal Horoscope! A personal horoscope is a tool that we can refer to, at any given moment in time, for a "compass reading."

The Circle of Life

According to The Astrological Encyclopedia, by James R. Lewis, “The zodiac literally means, “Circle of Animals.” In its more primary meaning, the “Circle of Life” or, “Circle of Living Beings.” What an absolutely perfect representation of our heavenly world; the "Zodiac," the “Circle of Life!”

Please ponder this for a moment! In our evolution as spiritual beings, the only way to master ourselves is to, “Know Thyself!” How often have we heard and read these words! But, have we really paid attention to them? To embark on an "inner quest" takes nerve. It takes courage to change the things we can change and the wisdom to put it into practice on a daily basis. To know thyself is to evolve into the cosmic spiritual being that our Creator intended. Familiarity with the zodiac and your horoscope, or your personal "Circle of Life," is one of the best ways to "know thyself!"

Elevating Ourselves

We need to perfect ourselves with what the Creator gave us to work with. When we do this, we elevate our soul and spirit to the next level in our evolution. You see, our "Higher-Self", the real “you” or "us", came to this Earth for a specific purpose. It has a job to do and it must get it done through us. If we can't, don’t or won't get this job done, at least in part, our failure simply adds to the negativity that pervades the planet. Negativity is void of Light. We are Light! Literally! We are the light of our Creator shining through our Higher-Self. When we find balance within ourselves, we become a veritable Beacon of Light. It's that Light, that energy, that will move us to accomplish great things! To accomplish our work on and for this planet!

The Good News!

The good news is..... our Creator gave us a “map” to accompany us on our mission! Each one of us was given their very own "treasure map" filled with wonderful gifts, potentials, and surprises! And... no two are alike!! They are all unique and without equal. This treasure map is our very own Horoscope! A picture of the zodiac at the precise time and location we were born.

Therefore, Zodiacology is, in part, the study of this picture or horoscope, including every single House, Planet, and Sun Sign, and the effect of their collective energies on us. When we work at understanding and balancing these energies, we have Real Power!

This Power can change ourselves, our reality, and ultimately our World! We find and have purpose. Our potential will have no limitations or boundaries and the Truth each one of us will come to know, will set us free! Then, the earthly experience we are now having will truly be what our Creator intended it to be. "As above… so below!!"

The Zodiac and Astrology form a New Terminology!

Ushered in with the 21^st Century was a new terminology and paradigm standard for the continued study of this "wisdom of the ages." That term is Zodiacology! The branch of knowledge that deals with the Zodiac and Astrology combined. Additionally, Zodiacology takes into account the inherent effects of Mythology and Astronomy upon the study.

Zodiacology will help to empower and transform us as we journey through the zodiac on our very own and highly personalized "Circle of Life."
