Scorpio Children

The little folks born under Scorpio can be very domineering, and show this tendency even in babyhood. They are the fretting ones, those who demand instant attention, and who expect to be constantly amused.

The Scorpio child who has not learned something of self-control, and who has not been instructed concerning the danger of giving way to jealousy and suspicion before he or she has come to the age of ten years, will not be easily reached during the next ten. Moral and spiritual development will then be an individual matter entirely, and it will come from the working out of a natural law—the hardest and the only one which is "As a man soweth that shall he also reap."

These children are generally so bright, so apt, so quick to separate the good from the bad, the true from the false, when properly trained and directed, that they can be saved a great deal of after misery and shame by wise instruction in the very early years. This is of course true in the largest sense of all children, but these Scorpio little folks will, by their natural tendency, dominate every thing and everybody about them unless this characteristic is corrected as soon as the trait manifests itself. Scorpio babies should be taught to entertain themselves, and should be kept very quiet.

The largest and highest possible range of education should be given those born under this sign. These children are usually very fond of animals, but sometimes can become cruel when their commands are not obeyed. They should be led into a close intimacy with these creatures as soon as they are old enough to notice, by means of pictures and a personal acquaintance. Scorpio children are very fond of luxurious surroundings. They should also be taught simplicity in things, and carefully watched as to emotional and passionate habits. This field is worthy of the most patient and persistent work.

The Cusp of Libra-Scorpio, October 24 to 30

This is a peculiarly hard cusp. Libra is said to rule the abdominal regions, and Scorpio the genital organs, and the focusing of these influences upon one part of the body is very difficult for the ordinary unawakened soul to bear.

When, however, the spirit is alive to the truth of being, there is no better place in all the twelve signs to hail from. These are the children of creative genius. They originate and carry to conclusions. The Scorpio woman is usually efficient in everything they undertake. They are excellent and often unique cooks and housekeepers. The union of the free air and the restless sea makes an unconventional character, which is most pleasing to everyone.

Sometimes the natural Libra fear and hesitation communicate their influence to this cusp and make the native hesitate in a crisis. But as soon as the time comes for the deed to be done, the best of Libra unites with the most forceful of Scorpio, and success generally crowns the effort.

These people are very tenacious of their positions, and having attained the first place, will hold it at all risks. They are sometimes very jealous and misleading. They can swim or fly out of any scrape that the mind of man can conceive. In personal appearance they are generally immaculate. The tendency of the Scorpio women to scold is much modified by the "don't care" disposition of Libra.

"God created the stars and the heaven for more than the sake of beauty. He gave them to us for interpretation so that we may live a more productive life. Man is superior to the stars if he lives in the power of superior wisdom. Such a person, being the master over heaven and earth, by means of his will, is a Magus, and magic is not sorcery but supreme wisdom."
